When Sealy Connecticut Inc. bought a manufacturing site in Oakville, Conn in 1986 it was leased by the agency of Litton Systems Inc., which used it for its electroplating operations.
After Litton mov revealed in 1991, Sealy discovered extensive environmental contamination of the one's own which it believed was caused on Litton and by about of the previous owners of the site, Autotyre Co which own it from 1912 to 1958 and Baird Machine Co which holded it from 1894 to 1912
